Export MIDI & audio loops generated with Beat Shaper for use in software like Ableton Live

Beat Shaper supports in-browser editing and export for DAW-based workflows. Every generated loop can be edited and exported as individual MIDI files or audio stems in WAV format. The platform is designed for integration into existing music production workflows, where users can retain full control over structure, timing, and instrumentation.

For an overview of loop generation, see the Text-to-Music feature page.

In-Browser Editing

Generated loops can be edited directly in the browser using the built-in piano roll interface. This allows precise control over note pitch, timing, and duration.

Synthesizer parameters such as tone, filter settings, and envelope behavior can be adjusted in real time using the synthesizer interface located above the piano roll. Changes are applied immediately and no re-generation is required.

The combination of real-time generation and built-in browser-based editing allows users to quickly audition generated loops and brainstorm ideas and then easily refine them to match their exact artistic vision.

Export Options: MIDI and WAV

Each loop can be exported in two formats:

  • MIDI files, which preserve the full note structure of the generated drum patterns, melodies, and basslines. These files can be opened in any DAW and used with software instruments or external music gear.
  • WAV files, which are rendered audio versions of the current loop. These are suitable for sample-based workflows, resampling, or direct use in arrangements.

Per-Track and Combined Export

Beat Shaper provides two export configurations to accommodate different production workflows:

  • Per-track export: Each instrument is exported as a separate MIDI or WAV file for individual processing.
  • Combined export: A single file containing all parts together as a single WAV file. This format supports fast previewing of the entire mix.

For more on how these files integrate with Digital Audio Workstations, in particular with Ableton Live, see the Ableton Compatibility page.

Use Cases

Editing and export functions support a range of real-world applications:

  • MIDI-based composition and arrangement: Edit generated loops in-browser, then export MIDI files for further development in a DAW. Per-part exports allow separate processing of drum patterns, basslines, and melodies using third-party instruments or hardware setups.
  • Audio-based sampling and performance: Render WAV stems for use in samplers, DJ tools, or live sets. This workflow is suited for users who prefer audio manipulation or perform without MIDI sequencing.
  • Loop library creation and rapid previewing: Export full loops as combined MIDI or WAV files to quickly build reusable loop libraries or audition ideas in external environments.

Summary

Beat Shaper enables full control over musical structure and output format. Loops can be edited in the browser, exported as MIDI or audio, and used in any DAW or hybrid production environment. This supports rapid idea generation as well as full production workflows.
